We’re seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role offers direct mentorship from experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, with opportunities to grow into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all phases of assigned commercial construction projects
- Support Project Managers with estimating, bidding, scheduling, and procurement
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Monitor project budgets, cost reports, and schedules
- Participate in owner and subcontractor meetings
- Ensure safety compliance and quality control on-site
- Support project closeout, punch lists, and turnover packages
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction (ground-up, tilt-wall, interiors, or industrial preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction documents, schedules, and budgets
- Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project/Excel
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
