About the job:

ZMX Incorporated (ZMX) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) who is passionate about a career in general contracting and project management. This individual will assist the Project Manager with all aspects of construction from pre-development through asset turnover. Located in Nashville, this position is on-site, focused around multifamily and mixed-use projects.

ZMX is a vertically integrated real estate development and general contracting business based in Nashville, TN. Our expertise includes deal sourcing and negotiation, entitlement, and ground-up construction, with a focus on multifamily, hospitality, mixed-use and residential projects.

As both a developer and general contractor, we have a unique position in the market to capitalize on opportunities that others cannot. We also maintain a direct network of relationships with local property owners, consultants, and brokers, providing opportunities to source off-market transactions not available in the public domain.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a lean, fast paced environment vertically integrated company
  • Assist with day-to-day management of construction budgets and contract procurement
  • Manage, track, and resolve RFIs with the design team and external consultants
  • Review project required submittals prior to design team handover
  • Manage project level document control within construction software platforms
  • Memorialize meeting minutes on a regular basis
  • Provide project reporting deliverables to the Project Manager for review

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, plan reading, and project sequencing
  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management / Science required. Other degrees considered.
  • Proficiency in the following software platforms: MS project, MS Suite, G Suite, Bluebeam, Fieldwire, Procore, Built, or equivalent.
  • Experience in a project management position in multifamily, hospitality, or mixed use construction required
