Cabinetry Paint Finisher
We are looking for an experienced Cabinetry Paint Finisher to work in Garden City, ID. If you have experience with fabricating custom woodwork for luxury residences, we encourage you to apply. Don't lose this opportunity to work with a growing company.
Job Duties:
- Prepare wood cabinetry and components for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and masking.
- Mix, match, and apply stains, paints, and topcoats to wood surfaces using spray guns and other finishing equipment.
- Ensure all finishes meet quality and color standards as specified by project requirements.
- Inspect finished pieces for flaws and correct them using touch-up techniques or rework.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including proper storage and handling of chemicals and materials.
- Collaborate with production and assembly teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain finishing equipment and notify management of any maintenance or repair needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in wood finishing, painting, or a related field (cabinetry experience preferred).
- Knowledge of finishing materials, such as lacquers, conversion varnishes, water-based finishes, and stains.
- Skilled in using HVLP spray guns and other finishing tools.
- Ability to distinguish colors and apply consistent finishes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift materials (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in a dusty environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols for handling finishing chemicals.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or finishing schedules
