The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under RN supervision, supports nursing staff with clerical duties, and liaises among patients, families, and healthcare team members. This role includes monitoring patient vitals, assisting with unit coordination, and supporting staff orientation. Candidates must hold a Washington Nursing Assistant Certification and have basic life support certification, with preference given to those with acute or skilled nursing experience.
Description
Responsible for performing general secretarial and clerical duties in the patient care areas. Interacts with patients, families and physicians and acts as a liaison among members of the health care team, patients and families. Assists the nursing staff in coordinating the activity of the unit. Assists in the delivery of patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. May be responsible for setting alarms and observing oxygen saturation readings. Oversees the orderliness of work areas and orders forms and other clerical supplies. Assists with orientation of new staff and performs other duties as assigned by charge nurse or nurse manager.
