Position Summary

The CNC Machinist is responsible to operate and program CNC mills and lathes in order to cut and process production parts. CNC Machinist is responsible to load the machines, operate equipment, run parts at or below the production standard and interpret G code.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

\n
• Operate all CNC machines (mills and lathes)
\n
• Check dimensions to ensure quality of parts
\n
• Read and understand simple blueprints
\n
• Strive to make standard part routing time
\n

\n

Experience and Education

\n
• High School diploma or equivalent
\n
• Minimum of three (3) of operation of CNC machines
\n
• Basic tool selection and replacement
\n
• General knowledge of standard measuring instruments
\n
• Proficient in G code programming
\n
• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints
\n
• Ability to work to close tolerances and check part dimensions
\n
• Experience running manual mills and lathes preferred.
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
\n
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
\n

Physical Requirements

\n
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects up to 25 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally
\n
• Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day up to ten hours
\n
