Construction Project Accountant

Job Title: Project Accountant 
Job Location: Boise, ID
Salary: $90k-$110k
Requirements: 2+ years of construction accounting experience + ERP System 

This is permanent position with an established General contractor with a wide range of construction projects in the commercial and Industrial space. They have 200+ employees and have been in business for over 30 years. 

Due to growth, they are currently hiring for an experienced project accountant who has a background in construction Accounting. This person will set up and maintain job records in their ERP system including cost budgets and revenue. They will monitor and audit job budgets and report any discrepencies to the team.  Benefits

What You Will Be Doing

• Set up and maintain job records in our ERP system, including revenue and cost budgets
• Regularly monitor and audit job budgets, reporting any discrepancies to the project team
• Support the project team in preparing monthly revenue and cost projections
• Plan payroll costs for self-performing jobs, ensuring accurate coding and allocation
• Review and ensure the accuracy of change orders before submission to the client
• Participate in jobsite meetings, track project issues, and assist with documentation
• Draft and review payment applications with the Project Manager
• Oversee daily/weekly entry and review of labor hours, ensuring correct coding and classification

What You Need for this Position

• 2+ years Accounting experience
• Experience at a construction/ real estate company
• Accounting principles (GAAP)
• ERP System (Viewpoint is a big plus, Sage, etc.)
• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance (or related) is preferred
