Education Programs Consultant job at Department of Education. Sacramento County, CA. Job Description and Duties Please note this is an 'Until Filled' position. Under general supervision of the Education Administrator I (EA I), the Education Programs Consultant (EPC) performs tasks that are consultative, developmental, and administrative. These tasks support the implementation and administration of programs and projects within the Career Technical Education Leadership Office (CTELO), focusing on the CTE Incentive Grant. As a Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) State Advisory, the EPC will provide programmatic and fiscal oversight to Cal-HOSA-Future Health Professionals. As State Advisor, will provide statewide leadership to ensure Cal-HOSA operates effectively, serving students in CTE programs and meeting California Department of Education expectations. Write, review, and monitor program-related contracts. Provide technical assistance to teachers, counselors, principals, superintendents, and others to maintain and strengthen local programs; review and evaluate local programs; promote new programs; supervise the administration and local use of state and federal funds. Maintain contact with business and industry groups in Health Science, Medical Technology, and Public Safety sectors. Partner with Adult Education staff in areas such as Integrated Education and Training, industry sector certifications, and career pathway development, supporting activities under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Title II: Adult Education and Family Literacy Act. This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for eligible applicants residing in California. The schedule includes remote work and physical reporting to the office. Additional factors include: Experience in K-12 education settings and collaboration with school districts, colleges, universities, and educational service providers.
