Region of Queens Municipality’s Department of Infrastructure, Public Works Division is currently seeking applications from a highly-organized, detail-oriented and dynamic individual interested in joining our team in the position of Heavy Equipment Operator III. The position of Heavy Equipment Operator III is a hands-on position involving the Municipality’s equipment fleet. The Ideal Candidate will posses the following level of certification: Key Responsibilities: Controlling and maneuvering heavy equipment using hand and foot pedals or levers individually and simultaneously Maintaining equipment by providing routine maintenance and checks pre and post-trip Recognizing and demonstrating multiple modes of communication to work safely and effectively with team members Operating tampers, saws or other hydro-carbon or electric-powered tools and equipment Utilizing shovels, rakes, picks, bars or other hand-held implements Working from a ladder and complex spaces Qualifications: High-school diploma or equivalent Why Join Us?
