Description:

The Parking Attendant is responsible for assisting patrons with parking-related matters, maintaining a safe and organized parking facility, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves directing visitors, assisting with payments at kiosks, enforcing parking policies, and ensuring the cleanliness and security of the parking area.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist patrons in using exit kiosks to pay for parking.
• Direct visitors on where to park when needed.
• Issue warning tags to vehicles parked illegally and call tow trucks if necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness by removing debris from the parking lot.
• Utilize hand signals and lights to guide visitors.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and report any concerns.
• Position or remove barricades to control parking access.
• Greet customers, open doors, and provide assistance when needed.
• Help customers locate their vehicles.
• Mediate and resolve parking disputes between customers.
• Escort customers to their vehicles upon request for safety.
• Assist customers with jump-starting dead batteries.
• Arrange for taxis or tow trucks upon client request.
• Change flat tires and replace batteries when possible.
• Ensure the safe and efficient exit of patrons from the parking garage.
• Provide directions to nearby highways or destinations.
• Answer general questions about parking fees and facility policies.
• Perform minor maintenance on barrier systems or report issues to maintenance personnel.
• Patrol parking areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or damage to vehicles and property.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• High level of alertness and attention to surroundings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions effectively.
• Physical ability to perform tasks related to the position, including standing for extended periods and assisting with minor vehicle issues.

Experience & Education

• Prior experience in parking management, security, or customer service is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work is primarily performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
