Job Description

Description: Ready to Lead the Way as Our New Practice Manager?

Are you a highly organized, results-driven leader with a knack for turning vision into reality? Alternative Wellness Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to be our operational strategist and chief implementer. We need someone who can expertly execute projects and improve processes to ensure our team can continue providing exceptional behavioral health services in a supportive, solution-focused environment. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact our mission and shape the future of our growing agency. If you're ready to put your skills to work and truly lead, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

This isn't just a management role—it's your chance to be the operational heart of our agency. You will provide direct supervision to our administrative staff, monitor agency performance, coordinate daily operations, and ensure a seamless workflow that optimizes productivity. You'll see challenges as opportunities, helping to improve systems and lead projects across both clinical and administrative programs. This role is a key driver of satisfaction for our clients, staff, and providers.

You'll be the central coordinator, ensuring a collaborative and seamless approach across all departments. Your day will be a mix of high-level strategy and hands-on support, including:

  • Enhancing Technology and Innovation: We've invested in great new systems for our phones, Human Resources, and Electronic Health Record (EHR). You'll lead the charge in maximizing our use of technology, acting as our EHR expert to boost efficiency and find new opportunities for growth.
  • Driving Operational Excellence: You'll oversee daily operations with a focus on strategic implementation and continuous quality improvement, creating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track our success.
  • Ensuring Quality and Compliance: You'll supervise and direct our Quality Department. You will work with our Quality Analyst to ensure we maintain compliance, interpret policies, and keep our team educated on best practices. You'll lead licensing reviews to ensure we meet all contract and licensing requirements.
  • Building a Strong Team: You'll manage a dedicated team of staff across three departments: Referral Navigators, Quality Assurance, and Data and Technology. You'll lead with respect and curiosity, recognizing that your team members are experts in their roles and aren't afraid to jump in and help when needed.
  • Fostering Collaboration: You'll work closely with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure our operational processes perfectly align with our client care objectives.
Who You Are

You're an agile, forward-thinking individual who understands that every day is different. You are a strong leader with a passion for excellence and a proven track record of bringing a vision to life. You're a true implementer who can take a goal and execute it flawlessly. You thrive in a dynamic environment, you're an expert at improving workflows, and you're ready to take ownership of complex projects.

What We Offer

This is an opportunity for significant professional growth. AWS is growing and is looking for individuals who want to grow with us. We value our team members and offer a collaborative, supportive, and professional environment where your contributions are recognized and rewarded. You'll have the autonomy to make a real difference and the chance to advance your career alongside a team dedicated to making a positive impact in our community.

This is an on-site position based in our Portland office, with occasional local travel to our Biddeford location.
