POSITION SUMMARY:
The Practice Manager oversees all operations of the ophthalmology practice, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering exceptional patient care. This position provides leadership to both clinical and administrative teams, with a focus on operational efficiency, financial performance, and staff development. The Practice Manager ensures compliance with regulatory standards and fosters a collaborative, patient-centric culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage clinical and administrative teams, including the Clinical Manager.
Oversee financial performance, including budget management, income statements, and practice performance dashboards.
Identify growth opportunities and develop strategic action plans.
Ensure staffing levels and succession planning to maintain uninterrupted patient care.
Build and maintain relationships with vendors, insurance carriers, and referring providers.
Collaborate with leadership and physicians to implement best practices and achieve operational goals.
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
Drive initiatives to enhance patient experience and practice reputation.
Evaluate and improve processes using data analytics and performance metrics.
Extensive experience in healthcare management, with a focus on operational leadership.
Strong knowledge of financial and performance metrics in a healthcare setting.
Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Proven ability to build effective teams and lead through influence.
Familiarity with ophthalmology practices is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
Five years of progressive clinical experience in lieu of degree considered.
Minimum two years of management experience required, preferably in healthcare.
Positive attitude and a love for helping others!
Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office and in electronic health records preferred.
Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required.
Must be flexible with traveling to various locations as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
•Exerting up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

•Have close visual acuity to perform an activity including viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, interpretation, etc.
