As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a utilities location by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to situations as they arise. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises using a company vehicle. Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site-specific procedures.
• Support emergency response efforts and participate in drills as directed by site management or Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
