SharePoint Web Developer

RCS is seeking a SharePoint Web Developer to support for the ground up development, build and continuous management, and maintenance of a WordPress-based website to include updating educational and outreach content, creating and managing comment capability, uploading and managing video content, and creating and managing sections for administrative functions of the office, including shared calendar administration.

This position requires the candidate to meet specific DoD Security Clearance obligations to work onsite in McLean, VA. Relocation assistance is not available.



What you will do:

• Design, build, and maintain a website using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the development of new websites and modifications of an existing one.
• Analyze user needs and site requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and resource constraints.
• Apply coding and testing standards, apply security testing tools, and conduct code reviews.
• Compile and write documentation of site development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.
• Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.
• Build sustainable relationships of trust through timely, open, and interactive communication

Required Qualifications/Education:

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
• Experience using WordPress.
• Experience in Microsoft SharePoint.
• Open-source software.
• Content management systems.
• Writing workflows to include changing security permissions using workflow commands.
• Building customized reports, forms, and new features.
• Configuring and administering search, configuring site collections, and developing new content types in WordPress and SharePoint.
