As a  Social Services Assistant at  Valley View Village , you’ll help support the Social Services Director by performing a variety of tasks, ensuring smooth operations and quality care for our residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with resident admissions, managing scheduling meetings, providing support for Minimum Data Set (MDS) processes, and coordinating tasks requiring authorization. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, compassionate, and ready to make each day brighter for the people we serve.

Social Services Assistant Responsibilities:  
  • Assist with resident admissions, including documentation, compliance, orientation, and recordkeeping.
  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely MDS assessments.
  • Schedule and coordinate care plan meetings, family consultations, and related activities while ensuring clear communication between staff, residents, and families.
  • Obtain and document required service/treatment authorizations in compliance with regulations.
  • Provide administrative support and assist residents and families with concerns and access to resources.
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in all interactions.
Social Services Assistant Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's degree in social work, human services, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or social services setting is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in using computers and relevant software applications.
