Job Title: Stockyard Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Stockyard Associate to join our concrete manufacturing team. You will be responsible for tasks related to patch repair and product preparation for delivery, adhering to our Quality Control Plan.

Responsibilities

• Clean, prepare, and patch concrete products.
• Transfer concrete products from the Production area to the Stockyard area.
• Comply with all applicable safety rules and regulations.
• Operate oxy/acetylene (natural gas) equipment.
• Use hand tools, drills, core drills, generators, drill press, and cut-off saws.
• Understand chain charts and the lift capabilities of all chains and lifting bars.
• Load and offload fleet and vendor equipment according to Dispatch and Stockyard Leader instructions.
• Move truck tractors and flatbeds to facilitate proper loading.
• Operate the SMV loader and boom trucks for loading and unloading.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and perform other housekeeping operations.
• Ensure regular and punctual attendance.

Essential Skills

• Experience with heavy lifting and lift truck operation.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of rigging and crane operation.
• Ability to perform concrete finishing and patching.
• Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, and working with fractions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Experience with concrete, construction, or landscaping.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Skill in performing mathematical operations with units of measurement, volume, and distance.
• Capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Decision-making abilities affecting work operations and efficiency.

Work Environment

This role is based in an older indoor construction site environment that can be loud and dirty. The work is physically demanding, requiring lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing, and bending. Employees should be comfortable with exposure to high places and outdoor weather conditions. Steel toe work boots, long pants, and a t-shirt are recommended attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Royersford, Pennsylvania

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
