Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring an active IL license and strong drip titration skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in an acute care hospital setting within a 6-lab interventional radiology department
• Patient population includes cases such as GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, drains, and vascular procedures
• Typical caseload is 20-30 cases per day
• Patient ratios are 1:1 during procedures and up to 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
• Uses Epic EMR and Philips monitoring equipment
• 4 x 9-hour day shifts per week, scheduled between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM
• Call required: 6-8 shifts within 6 weeks, including some weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute response time
• Surgical scrubs are provided for all shifts
• Daily responsibilities include care of interventional radiology patients from pre-op through recovery, including monitoring and supporting patients during procedures
• Charge RN is present from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM for support and lunch coverage
• IR tech and PCT available as members of the care team
• Unit-specific orientation provided prior to start
• Holiday call may be required; department is closed on the holiday
• No floating required for this position
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles may be eligible for local rates

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience, with prior interventional radiology or procedural experience preferred
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all must be active at time of consideration)
• Ability to interpret EKGs and perform drip titrations is essential
• Experience charting with Epic EMR required
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
