The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients of all ages across various body areas, including breast, abdominal, obstetrical, and gynecological regions. They assist with procedures using ultrasound technology and communicate examination results. The role requires completion of an ultrasound training program and certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

The Ultrasound Technologist provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound on all patient age populations. Diagnostic examinations may be performed on breast, abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological and other areas. The ultrasound professional also assists with various procedures during which ultrasound is utilized. The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing and communicating results of examinations.
