Overview Location: Anywhere in Country EY is looking for an experienced Upstream Reservoir Engineer to join our growing consulting practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading energy clients on complex reservoir challenges, leveraging technical expertise to deliver high-impact solutions. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support strategic decision-making, optimize asset performance, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives across the upstream value chain. This role is essential for driving our cloud practice forward, particularly in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering. Base pay Base pay range: $171,600.00/yr - $392,100.00/yr Responsibilities Lead the delivery of complex processes and solutions with a strong focus on quality and risk management. Build and manage client relationships, drive revenue generation, and lead teams with broad visibility across multiple activities. Manage client engagements from planning through execution and closure. Develop resource plans and budgets for engagements, ensuring engagement economics are effectively managed. Provide leadership and direction to team members, offering feedback to enhance performance. Skills and qualifications Provide technical leadership in reservoir engineering engagements, including reservoir modeling, production forecasting, and reserves evaluation. Design and validate production calculations for forecasting modules with high technical rigor. Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate reservoir performance across asset types, including unconventional plays. Experience with tools such as Aries, ComboCurve, Mosaic; ability to support client engagements and internal solution development. Collaborate with geoscientists, data scientists, and business consultants to deliver integrated solutions aligned with client objectives. Proven experience in managing complex projects and delivering results; strong analytical skills; ability to exercise judgment in methods and techniques for obtaining results; demonstrated leadership and change management capabilities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience. Strong proficiency in Aries, ComboCurve, Mosaic, and other reservoir engineering and forecasting tools. Experience with reserves reporting and familiarity with SEC and PRMS guidelines. Preferred/Ideally Strong negotiation and influencing skills; emotional agility for navigating complex interpersonal dynamics. Experience in hybrid collaboration environments; prior consulting experience or strong aptitude for client-facing roles. Familiarity with digital oilfield technologies, data analytics, and cloud-based platforms. Excellent communication and presentation skills; proactive, collaborative mindset and passion for innovation in the energy sector.
