Overview We are seeking a talented and driven UX Researcher to join our growing UX team. This role will help shape the direction of our member- and customer-facing digital experiences by conducting user research that informs design decisions and digital strategy. The ideal candidate is passionate about understanding users, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and experienced in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Core Responsibilities Collaborate with UX designers, CX team members, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define research goals and identify key questions. Plan and execute research studies, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, diary studies, and heuristic evaluations. Analyze data, identify patterns, and synthesize insights into clear, actionable recommendations that improve user experience across our digital ecosystem. Present research findings to cross-functional teams and leadership in a compelling, accessible manner. Support development of personas, customer journeys, and service blueprints. Maintain research artifacts and contribute to a growing research repository. Champion the voice of the user across the organization and advocate for data-informed decision-making. Help establish UX research best practices, tools, and frameworks. Skills Qualifications Required: Proven experience conducting end-to-end research in a digital environment. Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods and when to use them. Experience working with tools such as UserTesting, Figma, and analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Hotjar and other UX research tools. Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Preferred: Experience working in agile environments or collaborating with product teams. Familiarity with Optimizely or other personalization/experimentation platforms. Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design. Experience in a mission-driven or nonprofit organization is a plus. Education Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Information Design, or a related field. 4–5 years of experience in UX research or a similar role in user experience, human-centered design, or behavioral sciences. Compensation The wage range for this role is $85,400 - $140,900. Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the workday.
