Dry Box Welder - 5th Shift Thursday & Friday (10:30pm-7:00am) Saturday &Sunday (7:00pm-7:00am)
Essential Functions & Responsibilities \n - Prepare scrap bars from heavy tantalum scrap ingot croppings, plate croppings, rod croppings, etc.
\n - Produce electrodes for melting in the CMAF and ALD furnaces from powder bars, scrap bars and forged bars.
\n - Weld powder compacts to electrodes for micro-alloying of ingots.
\n - Operate saws and other equipment as required.
\n - Perform routing daily maintenance to keep dry box and associated equipment operable.
\n - Maintain accurate paper and electronic processing records.
\n - Segregate and handle scrap in accordance with prescribed techniques and procedures to avoid cross contamination of materials.
\n - Assist the Melter in operating the arc furnaces as required and operate the lathes or other equipment as required.
\n - Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains high quality standards.
\n - Maintains work area in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
\n - Enter material movements in SAP.
\n

Required Experience and Qualifications \n - Requires a high school or vocational degree or equivalent.
\n - Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially in welding, a plus.
\n - Must possess excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Vacuum training is desirable.
\n - Must have the ability to keep neat and accurate records.
\n - Requires lockout/tag out certification and fork lift license.
\n - Confined Space certification is helpful.
