We are seeking a skilled and dependable Audio Visual Technician to install, service, and maintain video surveillance and audio-visual systems for a wide variety of clients. This role includes hands-on installation, troubleshooting, wiring, equipment setup, and customer communication. The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and enjoys working in a professional, family-focused environment.
Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual and video surveillance systems
Work with high-definition cameras (short-range, long-range, PTZ) and related hardware
Run, secure, and conceal wiring to ensure clean and professional installations
Conduct site surveys to determine equipment placement and system design
Troubleshoot system issues and provide onsite and remote support
Operate lifts, ladders, and equipment safely according to certifications and training
Communicate effectively with customers, providing professional and courteous service
Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and equipment used
Travel to client locations throughout Illinois and nearby states as needed
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and quality standards
Previous experience in audio-visual installation, low-voltage wiring, security cameras, or related fields preferred
Strong technical and mechanical skills
Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and installation instructions
Comfort working on ladders, lifts, and in various indoor/outdoor environments
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and communicate professionally
Willingness to travel regionally for installations
High school diploma or equivalent required
