Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Controls and Instrumentation Technician with hands-on experience in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), automated packaging line automation, and batch control systems. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production processes, including the management of complex recipes and batch operations.
Primary Duties:
· Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and control systems including sensors, transmitters, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and DCS platforms.
· Support and optimize automated packaging lines, including robotics, conveyors, vision systems, and motion control devices.
· Configure and maintain batch control systems and recipe management tools to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with production standards.
· Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to implement automation solutions and process improvements.
· Interpret and update technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
· Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of instrumentation and control devices.
· Document system configurations, maintenance activities, and modifications accurately.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
· Assist in commissioning, testing, and validation of new equipment and control systems.
Qualifications:
· Associate degree or technical diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or related field.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems, with specific experience in DCS, batch control, and automated packaging systems.
· Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
