Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in Spruce Pine, NC, through the remainder of the current school year. This contract position requires a dedicated educator to manage a caseload of middle school students with diverse learning needs, providing specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation consistent with compliance requirements

Qualifications:

• Active EC Teaching license is required
• Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
• Strong understanding of special education laws, policies, and best practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
